William O'Connor Joins Shot Darts

We’re thrilled to announce that William O’Connor has joined the Shot Darts global player team!

William is known for many things including his unrelenting scoring power, ability to pull out the most bruising clutch finishes and of course, that iconic walk-on, arguably the best ever, when he competed in the 2020 Premier League as a contender. One of Ireland’s finest, The Magpie has demonstrated his ability to score heavily and dominate opponents with a clinical edge to compliment, under the utmost pressure on countless occasions on the floor in recent times and we know he’s also very capable of bringing that same game to the big stages.

A World Cup finalist in 2019, he is one of only three players to have competed in every single staging of that event and is set to compete for a 16th time this summer. He has aspirations to consistently appear in all major tournaments and we believe that working together, we can make those aims a reality.

Currently ranked 40th in the world, the Irishman has the game and the mindset to be a mainstay in the top 32 and ascending up the rankings is an attainable goal that we share. A run to the quarter-finals during themost recent block of Players Championship events, where he produced four consecutive averages in excess of 105, show how high a level he is currently operating at and that he has a game to rival anyone.

There is no disputing that O’Connor has a scarily high ceiling in the game and we are confident that we can combine to assist Willie as he looks to add to the Pro Tour title he claimed in 2019.
