Crewe-based Danny Ayres has emerged as one of the standout players on the PDC Challenge Tour in 2026. After a series of deep runs early in the season, Ayres broke through to claim his first Challenge Tour title in May, defeating Kevin Burness in the final in Hildesheim.
That form has kept Ayres firmly in the race for a PDC Tour Card and a place at the 2027 World Championship. Alongside the Challenge Tour, he has also competed across the MODUS Super Series and earned opportunities on the PDC ProTour, continuing a strong 2026 season as part of the Shot Darts team.
