Watch Harry outline why these are the best 5 fun dart games to play at home and keep reading for the basic rules of each game.

121

Basic rules:Start on 121. Try to check it out in 9, 12 or 15 darts depending on ability. If you finish it, move up to 122, then 123, and so on. If you miss, move back one number. If you take a number out in three darts, that becomes your new benchmark.

KILLER DARTS

Good for: Groups, mixed abilities, party-style darts.

Basic rules: Each player starts with a set number of lives, usually three. The first player has to score 21 or more. Whatever they score becomes the target for the next player to beat. If the next player fails, they lose a life, and the following player goes back to needing 21 or more. Last player with lives remaining wins.

Worth noting: There are a lot of Killer Darts variations, this is one version.

301

Good for: Shorter matches, finishing practice, beginner-friendly scoring.

Basic rules: Start on 301 and count down to zero. Like 501, you need to finish exactly, usually on a double. You can also play double-in, double-out to make it harder. It is a good way to practice getting to a finish faster than a full 501 leg.
